Day 1: The Sinking of the Recolo
George Sleight built the largest private fishing fleet in the world, but when the First World War began in 1914, the Admiralty took most of his trawlers for war service.
George was left with a vastly reduced fishing fleet and this is the story of one of his trawlers, the Recolo, and its final voyage in April 1915.
