We’re Open at The Green in Mablethorpe!

We are officially OPEN at The Green, Mablethorpe!

Over the past week, our clients have been busy planning how to create new outdoor spaces, and today they are proudly putting those plans into action.

The Green is a newly refurbished site that provides an adult skills day service for people with learning disabilities and autism, as well as an evening and weekend community hub.

Our day service is designed to offer a safe and supportive environment where clients can develop practical skills that they can take home, helping to support a meaningful and more independent life.

Following extensive renovations, The Green now offers a range of dedicated zones, allowing multiple skill-based workshops to take place at the same time.

Martin Shelton, Director of  Lifelong Learning and Employability states: “We wanted to create an accessible, inclusive and exceptional facility having seen the incredibly positive impact on students and the people we support when they work with animals; reducing anxiety, promoting sensory development, good mental health and developing different skills like empathy, compassion and care. This new facility, thanks to the incredible collaboration, grants and donations from our many key partners, has delivered a state-of-the-art environment which will provide learning opportunities, activities and engagement for the people we support and the wider community.”

During evenings and weekends, The Green will also operate as a Community Hub, available for hire to support the wider community of people with learning disabilities and autism. We aim to create safe spaces, entertainment, and inclusive events—so if you’re interested in getting involved or working with us, please get in touch!
