A huge congratulations to Emma for completing the Ørsted Great Grimsby 10K and raising over £1,000 for Linkage’s Weelsby Hall project!
Emma took on her first ever 10K challenge to celebrate both her 50th birthday and Linkage’s 50th anniversary, raising funds for our project, “An inclusive and sustainable future for Weelsby Hall.”
Having worked with Linkage since 2019, Emma has supported the development of the Weelsby Hall project, including helping to secure our £3.5 million National Lottery Heritage Fund investment. Her fundraising challenge was a fantastic way to show her continued commitment to protecting this important part of Grimsby’s heritage and creating new opportunities for the people we support.
Starting out with Couch to 5K last year and doubling the distance for this challenge, Emma completed the race alongside Team Linkage in an amazing atmosphere, with staff, supporters, volunteers, and the people we support cheering everyone on.
Emma said “The atmosphere at the Great Grimsby 10K was fantastic. It was wonderful to be part of Team Linkage alongside staff, supporters, volunteers, and the people Linkage supports – and to see so many people cheering everyone on around the route. I’m so grateful to everyone who donated, shared my fundraising page, encouraged me during my training, and supported me on the day. Thanks to their generosity, we’ve raised over £1,000 towards helping secure the future of Weelsby Hall.”
