The new arts and crafts room in Scremby Grange has quickly become a favourite space for the people we support! Recently everyone has been enjoying getting creative together – making colourful masks and Easter decorations while listening to music on the record player. It’s been a lovely, relaxed atmosphere filled with laughter, creativity and plenty of fun.
Arts and crafts activities play an important role for people with learning disabilities. Creative sessions provide a safe and enjoyable way for individuals to express themselves, build confidence and develop new skills. Activities like painting, decorating and crafting can support communication, improve fine motor skills and encourage independence, all while allowing people to explore their imagination.
We’re so proud to see everyone embracing their creativity and making the most of this wonderful new space.
