Blackberry picking and Indian mocktails!

Making the most of a great harvest!

As part of our ongoing India-themed activities, the people we support at Riverside enjoyed picking fresh blackberries from the garden to use in a delicious Indian-inspired mocktail.

With plenty of blackberries left over, the group decided to make homemade blackberry jam – a fantastic way to reduce waste while learning new cooking skills.

Everyone enjoyed taking part in the jam-making process, from preparing the fruit to watching it transform into a tasty preserve. The best part? Sampling the finished product, with everyone agreeing it tasted absolutely delicious!

It’s been wonderful to see everyone getting involved in these themed activities, trying new experiences and making the most of homegrown ingredients.
