A fantastic Employer Breakfast at Toynton!

Our Hospitality & Catering students recently welcomed 15 local employers for a special brunch event – and they did an incredible job from start to finish.

As part of their qualification, the students planned, organised and delivered the entire event themselves. From designing invitations and ordering ingredients to preparing food, setting up the dining room and serving guests, they demonstrated professionalism and teamwork every step of the way.

Guests enjoyed a delicious brunch of tea, coffee, croissants, bacon baps and sausage baps, while students showcased valuable hospitality and employability skills including communication, organisation, customer service, food preparation, problem-solving and time management.

The feedback from employers was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the students’ confidence, friendliness and professional approach.

One of the biggest highlights of the morning was a student being offered a Supported Internship opportunity by one of the attending businesses – a fantastic achievement and a wonderful example of how employer engagement can create real pathways into employment.

We are incredibly proud of every student involved. They represented Linkage brilliantly and demonstrated the skills, dedication and potential needed to succeed in the workplace.
