Our REACH students enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre!
Students explored the history of Grimsby’s fishing industry, learnt about the lives of fishermen and their families in the 1950s, and took part in a range of interactive activities throughout the museum.
They especially enjoyed exploring the fishing boat, using the switchboard to send an SOS message, dressing up as fishermen, and engaging with the sensory experiences around the museum.
The visit provided a great opportunity to develop communication, social interaction, and cognitive skills while learning about local history in a fun and engaging environment. Well done to all students for representing REACH so positively!
