Emma S from Vale View enjoyed a fantastic day trip to York, travelling with Hunts Coaches. This was a trip Emma chose independently, sharing that she had wanted to visit York for a long time but had never had the chance.
During the coach journey, Emma enjoyed spotting local landmarks, including the airport and the Humber Bridge, where the group stopped for a short break.
After arriving in York, Emma was ready for lunch and chose to dine at The Botanist, where she enjoyed one of their famous hanging kebabs – a meal she was very excited to try!
The afternoon was spent exploring the city, with Emma choosing to browse the local shops. She especially loved visiting the Harry Potter shop and seeing all of the Hedwig merchandise. Emma also enjoyed looking around one of York’s traditional sweet shops and couldn’t believe the huge selection of sweets, making sure to pick some up for the journey home.
Before heading back, Emma treated herself to a delicious caramel slice at the famous Bettys Tea Room. The day ended with some sightseeing, taking in York Minster, the Roman remains, the city walls and the iconic York sign.
It was a brilliant day filled with independence, choice, new experiences and plenty of happy memories. Well done, Emma!
