The people we support from Oak Lodge and Livingstone Court enjoyed an unforgettable day trip to Hull, supported by Lizz, Tracey and Louise.
With the sun shining, the group arrived just in time to soak up the fantastic atmosphere of Hull Pride. The streets were alive with music, dancing and vibrant colours, creating a welcoming and inclusive celebration that everyone loved being part of. There was plenty of laughter, delicious street food and lots of opportunities to join in the festivities.
Later in the day, everyone headed to the Hull New Theatre to watch the spectacular Lord of the Dance. The group had dressed to impress in traditional Irish green, receiving lots of lovely compliments from members of the public, which gave everyone an extra boost of confidence before the show.
The performance was truly unforgettable. There was clapping, toe-tapping and smiles from beginning to end as everyone enjoyed the incredible music, dancing and energy on stage.
The trip had been chosen by the people we support as part of their leisure activities, and it certainly lived up to all the excitement leading up to the day. In fact, Emily summed it up perfectly when she told staff it was “the best day of my life.”
It’s wonderful to see people enjoying experiences that mean so much to them, creating lasting memories and sharing such special moments together.
