Throughout October, the people we support at Keal View took part in weekly Movement to Music sessions, designed to promote fun, boost wellbeing and provide an outlet for self-expression.
The sessions quickly became a popular social event, with everyone enjoying the opportunity to get involved and look forward to each week’s activities. Participants were encouraged to choose both the music and the type of movement they wanted to do, helping to make each session engaging and person-centred.
There was a fantastic variety of activities on offer, including dancing, exercise routines, using punch bags, and following online movement sessions. Whether taking part in standing exercises or seated movements, everyone had the chance to join in at a level that suited them.
The October sessions were such a success that dates for November have already been planned, following requests from the people we support for more opportunities to take part.
We’re delighted to share some highlights from the October classes and look forward to seeing the sessions continue to grow in popularity.
