Linkage FC Takes on the Alford Footy5s Tournament!
Linkage FC have proudly took part in the Alford Footy5s Football Tournament.
Representing the team were staff members Andrew Outing, Adam Waples, Kristine Worthington, Richard Mawer, Jade Raynor, Charlie Mawer, Abby Whitehead-Lill, Ashton Watson (son of our coach), and our coach, Tracy White.
The team played six 15-minute matches against some very experienced sides who compete in league football every weekend. While we didn’t come away with a win, everyone gave their all, had a fantastic time, and showed great teamwork and determination throughout the day.
It was wonderful to have so much support from our colleagues and the people we support, who came along to cheer us on and even made banners for the team. Your encouragement meant so much!
Linkage FC also stayed until the very last match to support all of the other teams, demonstrating true sportsmanship. To top off a brilliant day, we were delighted to receive the Fair Play Medal – an achievement we’re incredibly proud of.
A huge thank you to the organisers, the other teams, and everyone who came along to support us. We can’t wait for the next tournament!
