Rachel Rushmer from the DPoW library team has been voted MENTOR OF THE YEAR by the interns themselves, which makes this recognition especially meaningful. Throughout the year, she has shown unconditional support, kindness and guidance, helping our interns grow in confidence, develop new skills and believe in their own potential.
Rachel has always been there to offer encouragement, share her knowledge and provide a listening ear whenever it was needed. Her positive impact has been felt by everyone she has worked with, and she has played a significant role in helping our interns achieve so much this year.
This award is incredibly well deserved, and we are so proud to have called Rachel a member of this year’s Project SEARCH team.
We would also like to give special recognition to Jane Shinn, who has also been a constant source of support and kindness for the interns, welcoming them into the classroom within the NHS library every day with a smile.
