Ørsted Great Grimsby 10K… finish line is in reach!

Emma, a freelance Project Officer for Linkage, is taking on the Ørsted Great Grimsby 10K on 7th June as her first ever 10K challenge, raising funds for Linkage Community Trust.

This year is a special milestone, with both Emma and Linkage celebrating their 50th anniversaries. She is aiming to raise £2,500 in support of Linkage’s work with people with learning disabilities and/or autism at Weelsby Hall in Grimsby.

Emma started running last year through the Couch to 5K programme and completed her first 5K. She is now doubling the distance for this sponsored challenge.

Funds raised will support Linkage’s project, “An inclusive and sustainable future for Weelsby Hall,” helping to restore and refurbish the historic Victorian building, create a training centre, provide specialist accommodation in the Stables, and increase public access to its heritage.

Emma has worked with Linkage since 2019, supporting the development and delivery of the Weelsby Hall project, including helping secure a £3.5 million National Lottery Heritage Fund bid. With 25 years’ experience in the grant funding sector, she is passionate about supporting organisations like Linkage and the difference this project will make to people’s lives while preserving an important part of Grimsby’s heritage.

Linkage still needs to raise significant match funding to complete the project. Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference, and sharing the campaign is also greatly appreciated.
