The people we support from Oak Lodge, Beech Lodge and Livingstone Court – the whole of the Mablethorpe Hub – had an action-packed Saturday full of fun, creativity and plenty of dancing!
The day started with a trip to Mablethorpe Beach to admire the amazing sand sculptures, with some of the people we support even having a go at creating their own. The sunshine was out and there were plenty of happy faces!
Then it was time for a delicious fish and chip lunch before getting ready for the Mablethorpe Carnival Parade. Everyone dressed in colourful clothes and hats and proudly represented Linkage as they joined the parade.
Armed with their own boombox and some top tunes, there were plenty of dance moves along the way!
And what a result! Linkage Mablethorpe won the award for Most Enthusiastic Group in the parade! Not bad considering joining the parade was a last-minute decision!
Everyone certainly got their steps in too, clocking up an incredible 19,000+ steps – a great workout for everyone, staff included!
It was a brilliant day filled with smiles, laughter, music and making memories. By the end, there were definitely a few tired feet – but what a fantastic day!
